On April 30, the Commendation Conference for Model Workers and Advanced Contributors of Guizhou Province was held in Guiyang. At the conference, according to the "Decision of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the People's Government of Guizhou Province on Commending Model Workers and Advanced Contributors of Guizhou Province," the provincial committee and provincial government awarded the title of "Guizhou Province Model Worker" to 330 individuals and the title of "Guizhou Province Advanced Contributor" to 170 individuals. Among them, Comrade Long Tao from Guiyang Xianfeng Machine Tool Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guiyang Xianfeng") was honored with the title of "Guizhou Province Model Worker."

Since joining Guiyang Xianfeng in 1993, Comrade Long Tao has dedicated over thirty years to his work, steadfastly remaining on the front line. As the leader of the Guizhou Provincial Model Worker Innovation Studio, Comrade Long Tao has never paused on the path of technological innovation, consistently maintaining a spirited and determined attitude of striving for new heights. He has led his team to overcome one technical hurdle after another, successfully developing numerous core technologies with independent intellectual property rights, thereby injecting strong and sustained innovative momentum into the company’s development.
In the area of cultivating high-skilled talent, Comrade Long Tao has willingly served as a stepping stone, selflessly passing on his exquisite skills and invaluable experience—gained over more than thirty years—to the younger generation. He has actively established platforms for talent development, using a “mentorship and hands-on guidance” approach to provide meticulous, step-by-step instruction to young workers. Moreover, he has guided these young workers to integrate theory with practice, thereby nurturing batch after batch of highly skilled professionals with outstanding work ethics. This has laid a solid foundation for the company’s talent pool and the industry’s continued development.
Meanwhile, Comrade Long Tao actively responded to the Guiyang Municipal Federation of Trade Unions’ special initiative—“Construction of the Craftsmen’s Academy and the Model Workers & Craftsmen Assistance Program for Enterprises”—and was successfully appointed as a member of the faculty team at the Guiyang Craftsmen’s Academy, also serving as a member of the Model Workers & Craftsmen Service Team.
Being awarded the title of “Guizhou Province Model Worker” this time is a well-deserved recognition of Comrade Long Tao’s many years of dedication to frontline work, his quiet and diligent efforts, and his unwavering commitment to serving the enterprise. It also sets a shining example for the development of the industrial workforce in Guizhou Province. With his concrete actions, he has fully embodied the rich essence of the model worker spirit and vividly demonstrated the vigor, responsibility, and sense of mission of industrial workers in the new era.
