Starting September 1, Guiyang Xianfeng Machine Tool Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guiyang Xianfeng") launched its 2023 "Quality Month" campaign. Organized by the Trade Union Committee of Guiyang Xianfeng and hosted by the Metalworking Branch Factory with support from the Quality Inspection Department, this campaign is guided by the Scientific Development Concept and focuses on quality, brand, standards, service, credibility, and efficiency. Centered around the spirit of "seeking development through quality and achieving efficiency from quality," the campaign features a boring operator skills competition.

For a company, quality is as vital as health is to human life. When a company’s product quality falters, it means the company has lost its very vitality. A single substandard gear, an insufficiently precise grinding operation, or a single instance of overlooked lubrication—these seemingly minor issues determine whether a product can meet established standards. These details encompass meticulous attention to materials, meticulous care in human execution, meticulous refinement of thought, and meticulous alignment of mindset. To achieve this level of excellence, one must always maintain the heart of a craftsman—a heart that is steadfast, down-to-earth, and relentlessly committed to perfection. In the eyes of a craftsman, there is nothing else but relentless pursuit of quality, scrupulous attention to manufacturing, and tireless striving for perfection.

The boring operator skills competition was participated in by all members of the boring team from the Metalworking Subfactory. Each participant measured two test pieces of different specifications, recorded their measurement results, and submitted them to the inspection personnel. The inspection personnel then evaluated the participants' performance and announced the actual dimensions of the test pieces. The top six participants—based on their combined scores for high measurement accuracy and short measurement time—were awarded prizes. Throughout this event, all cadres and employees of the Metalworking Subfactory devoted tremendous effort and shed much hard work. By conducting a series of activities, the event effectively enhanced the employees' quality awareness, fostered their ability to work together in unity, provided comprehensive support for the successful completion of “Quality Month,” promoted the development of the employees’ craftsman spirit, and boosted their confidence in rigorously controlling product quality. Meanwhile, Guiyang Xianfeng will further consolidate its foundational work, strengthen quality management at the grassroots level, intensify quality supervision and inspection efforts, and place particular emphasis on reinforcing on-site quality control.
