Concentrating on the "bottleneck" technological challenges faced by Guiyang Xianfeng, the company is developing domestically produced CNC roll-grinding machines, and is wholeheartedly promoting the establishment of a new development pattern characterized by "Party building providing the platform while the economy takes center stage."

In recent years, Guiyang Xianfeng has continuously stepped up its R&D investment, focusing on key links to steadily enhance product quality, automation levels, working precision, operational efficiency, and delivery capabilities. As a result, the functionality of its products has become increasingly sophisticated, and the volume of shipments under the Xianfeng brand has continued to rise, with its market share steadily expanding. However, core components of Xianfeng’s CNC roll-grinding machines—such as the CNC system and spindle motors—remain heavily reliant on imports. Affected by international political factors, restrictions and blockades on critical technologies occur from time to time, disrupting overseas production and transportation. This has led to extended procurement cycles for essential supporting components, impacting both the efficiency and timeliness of procurement and posing significant challenges to product delivery.

To break through production and development bottlenecks and ensure the effective utilization of existing resources across enterprises in the system’s industrial chain, Guiyang Xianfeng, guided by Party building, is leveraging its existing MJK13100×50 CNC cylindrical grinder as a foundation. It is fully tapping into the existing resources and technologies of various subsidiaries within the Electromechanical Group’s supply chain and actively integrating resources from enterprises along the Electromechanical Group’s system chain, such as Guizhou Yong’an Motor and Guiyang Yongli Bearing. Guizhou Xinhui Welding Technology, Xianfeng Logistics & Transportation, and others Jointly initiate and launch a blockchain-based Party building collaboration project, using the “blockchain” as a medium to strengthen collaborative synergy and develop domestically produced CNC roll-grinding machines. This will drive continuous progress and development toward technological self-reliance and strength, thereby supporting high-quality growth and mutually beneficial win-win outcomes for all enterprises on the blockchain.

To overcome the challenges in CNC systems and reduce reliance on foreign technologies, Guiyang Xianfeng has partnered with Huazhong CNC to establish a collaborative layer, jointly developing a domestically produced CNC system. Building on this collaborative layer, Guiyang Xianfeng has brought in upstream enterprises—Guizhou Yong'an, Guizhou Xinhui, Guiyang Yongli, Guiyang Chaohui, and Xianfeng Logistics—to form an alliance layer. Together, they are tackling the development of higher-value-added core components such as Guizhou Yong'an motors and Guiyang Yongli bearings, aiming to replace imported components under comparable conditions. Furthermore, by leveraging resources from upstream partners—including Guizhou Xinhui’s welding technology and Xianfeng Logistics’ transportation services—the alliance has created a core-layer product: the “Xianfeng” brand CNC roll-grinding machine, fully localized and domestically produced. This breakthrough breaks the dependency on imports for critical CNC system components and spindle motors used in the “Xianfeng” brand CNC roll-grinding machines, thereby reducing production costs at the source, shortening production cycles and delivery times, and genuinely supporting the high-quality development of upstream enterprises.

Staff from the Guiyang Xianfeng Technical Center have engaged in multiple rounds of discussions and exchanges with Huazhong CNC. Both sides have repeatedly dispatched relevant personnel to the site for technical exchanges and learning, working together to design and develop a domestically produced CNC system. Currently, the domestically produced CNC system has been online for nearly a month and has basically met the requirements for grinding operations. At present, Xianfeng Machine Tool is focusing on high-value-added components, fully leveraging its political and organizational advantages to overcome the challenges posed by import restrictions on core components. Upstream enterprises—Guizhou Yong'an, Guizhou Xinhui, and Guiyang Yongli—have visited Xianfeng Machine Tool in Guiyang numerous times for technical exchanges, on-site inspections, and discussions on design solutions; related components are now in the implementation phase. As of now, the Party-building co-construction project (research topic) linked to Xianfeng Machine Tool in Guiyang has completed the formulation of the overall machine tool design plan and is steadily proceeding with model manufacturing, as well as the processing and supply of raw materials and complete sets of machine tool components, and the preparation of technical documentation. While developing a domestically produced CNC roll-grinding machine, Xianfeng Machine Tool is simultaneously expanding both domestic and international markets. The Guiyang Xianfeng Marketing Center is actively “going global” to seek customers, attract investment, secure orders, and expand market presence. To date, the project has signed contract orders for four machines with domestic and foreign enterprises, with an expected transaction volume of 17 million yuan.

Following the Party building and co-construction arrangements for industrial and innovation chains, Guiyang Xianfeng adheres to a practice-oriented approach, focusing on leading industries such as roll-grinding machines. It zeroes in on the key challenges facing industrial development, fostering synchronized resonance and collaborative efforts among enterprises along the chain. By embedding organizational chains into industrial chains, it promotes the deep integration of Party building with industrial development. Using Party building as a vital link, Guiyang Xianfeng explores a new development path characterized by "grouping and building chains, alliance-driven growth, Party-building as an engine, and win-win outcomes through chain integration." This ensures that the Party flag flies high along the industrial chain, leveraging Party building to drive coordinated collaboration between upstream and downstream enterprises. By strengthening both the industrial chain and the innovation chain, it injects endogenous momentum into the chains and paves the way for exploring and implementing "chain extension" initiatives.
